Lubuntu 17.10.1 (Artful Aardvark) or 18.04 (Bionic Beaver) x or y are the best choice for a small but highly efficient and official Linux for VMware Fusion. Official support for Lubuntu 18 expires in June 2023. Lubuntu 17 expired in June 2018.
